Description
West End Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse, likely with earlier origins, and extended in 1844, as indicated by a datestone. The farmhouse is constructed of dressed sandstone with quoins, and has a corrugated asbestos roof with brick stacks. The original front features two bays over two storeys, with a further two bays added to the left. A glazed door is positioned slightly right of centre. There are 16-pane sash windows with stone sills throughout; the windows on the right have raised, keyed surrounds, while those on the left have heavily tooled lintels. A datestone is set between the first-floor windows on the left side. The farmhouse has a coped gable and shaped kneelers, as well as end and centre stacks.
