Description
This pair of boundary stones, located approximately 2,020 meters south of Home Farmhouse in Hutton Lowcross, date from the early 19th century. The first stone is a roughly dressed limestone shaft, standing about 1 meter high and measuring 38 centimeters by 30 centimeters. Its southeast face is inscribed with "T H.R. G.A. 2." The second stone, also a roughly dressed limestone shaft, is positioned on the northwest side of the first stone. It is approximately 50 centimeters high and measures 35 centimeters by 22 centimeters, with the northwest face inscribed "T.K.S. 1815." These stones mark the boundary between the civil parishes of Guisborough and Great Ayton, as well as the counties of North Yorkshire and Cleveland.
