Description

This is a late 18th-century house in East Ayton, altered in later periods. It is constructed of coursed rubble, whitened on the exterior, with a pantile roof and brick stacks. The house follows a central stairhall plan, with two rooms deep. The front facade is two stories high and features a three-window arrangement. An off-centre, half-glazed door from the 20th century is accessed by stone steps. There are four-pane sash windows throughout, each with a tripartite keyed lintel above. The gables are coped, and the house has shaped kneelers. End stacks are present.
