Description
Glenbervie is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century and an extension from the 20th century. It features a timber frame with plastered infill and a thatched roof, while the addition is built of painted brick with a plain tile roof. The building is positioned end onto the lane and is 1½ stories high with two original bays, along with a 20th-century half-link bay and a crosswing at the far end. The front has a plinth that diminishes in size. Between the original bays, a doorway has been replaced by a 20th-century bowed window. Each side of the original bays has a two-light casement window, with a similar window above in an eyebrow dormer. The link bay includes a porch with an outshot roof supported by posts over the door leading to the crosswing. There are casement windows in the end of the crosswing, and the roof is half-hipped, with a stack located between the original bays.
