Description

The retaining wall and pergola located south of Boldre Grange were built around 1874 by RN Shaw. The structure features brick construction with timber beams supporting the pergola. The retaining walls extend from each corner of the house southward for 20 meters, connecting to a larger retaining wall that runs parallel to the house. On the southern side of this wall, there is a pergola made of brick piers with timber posts on top, extending across to the wall.
