Description
West Lodge Boldre Grange is a lodge built around 1874 by RN Shaw. It is constructed of brick and features half-hipped gables with a plain tile roof and a brick stack. The building has a plan of one and a half storeys and consists of two bays with a very tall roof. There is a possible crosswing added at one end, and a large gable on the front roof of the other end bay. The road front has a drive along the right-hand side. At the left-hand end, the crosswing projects, and on its left side, there is a door under a pent-roof supported by posts. The front bay has a three-light casement window and another window in half-timbering on the first floor below the gable. In the centre bay on the right side, there is a single light window under a small outshot roof. The right bay has a single light window under a moulded timber bressumer, which supports the jettied first floor and gable. There is also a three-light casement window on the first floor. A large moulded stack is located in the centre, set just behind the ridge.
