Description

Firview is a detached house built around 1860, constructed of Flemish bond brick with a Welsh slate roof and ornamental brick stacks. The house has a double-pile plan and is two stories high with a three-window front. A 20th-century central door is set in a recessed porch, flanked by canted bays featuring margin-pane sash windows. The first floor also has three margin-pane sashes. The front gables of the two-span roof have barge-boards, deep eaves, and ornamental cylindrical stacks with octagonal bases and cappings. The right side of the house has two margin-pane sashes on both the ground and first floors, while the left side features French windows and margin-pane sashes. The rear has similar windows. Inside, there is a central passage on both floors and four-panelled doors.
