Description
The Cuckoo is a public house dating from the early 18th century, with an addition and changes to its windows made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a hipped thatched roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The building is two stories high and has two windows on the front. The central entrance is a planked door sheltered by a thatched porch, with a tripartite sash window on either side. On the first floor, there are two tripartite sash windows. To the right, there is a mid-19th century extension covered with a Welsh slate roof. The side returns of the building are windowless. The rear includes planked doors, 2-light casements, one horizontal sash window, and lean-to extensions. The interior has not been inspected, but it is reported to have doors with four fielded panels.
