Description

Burns Farmhouse and the adjoining barn date from 1802, as indicated by the inscription above the entrance. The building features roughcast walls and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof, which includes roughcast chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a lower barn located to the right. It has a plank door flanked by double sash windows, along with upper-floor sash windows, all featuring glazing bars and painted stone surrounds. The barn has casement windows on two levels closest to the house and a large central projecting entrance for carts.
