Description

Eagle Farmhouse, dating to circa 1635, is a traditional stone farmhouse. It is constructed of thick stone rubble walls set on large boulders, and is whitewashed. The roof is covered with flags and features round chimneys at each end. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a low profile. The front elevation has a low doorway, a double sash window, and two further 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor. Above are three 12-pane sash windows and a more modern window. A gabled wing extends to the rear, forming an L-shaped plan. The interior retains old ceiling beams, an ingle nook with a ham loft, and flagstone floors.
