Description

Wordsworth Cottage, also known as Broadhow, is a 17th-century building located in Patterdale. It is constructed from white-washed stone rubble and features a flag roof, with two low storeys. The cottage has an added lean-to porch, two windows on the ground floor, and three modern windows above. To the left, there is a former stable attached, and to the right, a modern addition. Inside, the cottage is said to retain an original spice cupboard and a beam that is dated 1670. There is no known connection with the poet William Wordsworth.
