Description
Rattlebeck Cottage is an early 17th-century building that has been modernised. It features thick stone rubble walls that are white-washed and roughcast, topped with a flag roof and a single chimney. The cottage has two very low storeys. The front includes a modern studded door, three small casement windows on the ground floor, and two small casement windows above. There are also two similar windows to the right at an intermediate level and a small window in the end gable. The rear of the cottage has a catslide roof that extends almost down to ground level. The entire structure is built on large boulders.
