Description
Crook-a-Fleet is a farmhouse and adjoining barns dating from the late 17th century, with 19th-century alterations and a rear addition to the barn that is dated and inscribed on the quoin as T.I.B. 1807. The building is constructed of whitewashed mixed limestone and cobble rubble, topped with a graduated greenslate roof and featuring stone chimney stacks. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, with a two-bay extension to the left and an L-shaped barn to the right, all under a common roof.
The central entrance consists of a plank door, with a double sash window to the left set in 19th-century painted stone surrounds. Above the entrance, there is a small casement window, and other Yorkshire sash windows are present, all within original chamfered stone surrounds. A blocked fire window is located at the extreme left. The extension features a plank door in a stone surround and sash windows in brick surrounds. The barn has a plank door and loft openings, while the lower right-angled extension has a chamfered door surround. The rear of the house includes windows with chamfered surrounds in an outshut. Inside, there is a beamed ceiling, a heck partition, and a firebeam. At the time of the survey, the property was derelict and unoccupied.
