Description
This farmhouse, located in the center of Haltcliff Bridge hamlet, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a 19th-century extension and alterations. It is constructed of mixed limestone and cobble rubble, with the front wall rendered. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and features rebuilt yellow brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays, with a higher two-bay extension at right angles, forming an L-shape. The original doorway has been replaced with a 20th-century window. The farmhouse has sash windows set in chamfered painted stone surrounds. The extension includes a 20th-century door and sash windows, also in painted stone surrounds. At the rear, there is an entrance with a chamfered surround and an outshut featuring windows with chamfered surrounds.
