Description
A farmhouse and adjoining barns, likely dating from the mid-17th century with significant alterations in the late 18th century. The farmhouse has whitewashed rendered walls with an eaves cornice and a projecting plinth. It is topped by a graduated greenslate roof with rendered chimney stacks. The main farmhouse section is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a single-bay former stable projecting to the right, all under a common roof. A four-panel door is set within an alternate block surround, featuring a keyed frieze beneath a pediment. The windows are sash windows, with the ground floor windows being double-hung, all set within painted stone surrounds. The former stable has a door and sash windows in stone surrounds. Inside the farmhouse, a stair projection to the rear incorporates the remains of a semicircular stair. The barn has a plank door and a loft to the right, alongside a large cart entrance to the left. A right-angled extension into the farmyard is not considered to be of architectural interest.
