Description

Green Farmhouse, located on Rayrigg Road in Bowness, dates back to 1834 and was formerly known as The Green and Holiday Camp Cottage, along with a barn to the south. This building is now simply a cottage, with origins in the 17th to 18th centuries. It features thick, white-washed stone walls and an old slate roof topped with a round chimney. The structure has two stories with very low proportions. A catslide roof over the staircase wing includes a 6-light "cross" window with wooden mullions and transoms, as well as a single light window positioned very low at ground level. Additionally, there is a wood-mullioned window on the north-west side.
