Description
Fallbarrow Hall is a large Victorian Gothic mansion built in 1834, located on Fallbarrow Road in Bowness. Constructed from local slate with sandstone dressing, the building has two storeys and features clustered diagonal chimneys. It includes several two-storeyed bay windows, and all windows are fitted with stone mullions, most of which have arched and cusped lights, with some ogee lights in the bay windows. The entrance boasts an elaborate doorway with a pointed arch, carved spandrels, a label with heads on finials, and a carved parapet or frieze. The lakeside facade is asymmetrical, showcasing an oriel and two bay windows.
