Description

This building is a barn or byre dating from the early 19th century, located opposite to the west of Yew Tree Farmhouse in Borrow Dale, Stonethwaite. It features slate rubble walls beneath a roof made of graduated greenslate. The barn is long and low, with central double plank doors set in a segmental arch, which is topped with slate drip stones. There are also plank byre doorways on either side, each in plain openings with slate lintels. Slit vents are positioned under the eaves. The barn is listed for its group value with Yew Tree Farmhouse.
