Description

Yew Tree Farmhouse is a late 17th century farmhouse located in Borrowdale, Stonethwaite. It features painted slate rubble walls topped with a graduated greenslate roof and has rebuilt roughcast chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. There is a 20th century door set within a 17th century stone porch that includes side seats. The windows are old fixed-pane casements with glazing bars. An adjoining barn at the rear is not considered of interest.
