Description

The premises occupied by Brown's Booking Office is an 18th-century building located in Ambleside Market Place. It has low proportions and consists of two storeys. The exterior features white-washed roughcast over stone rubble, topped with a new slate roof. There are two doors and an early 19th-century shop window surround that includes pilasters, a fascia, and a cornice, along with a double sash insertion. On the first floor, there are three sash windows, two of which have six panes, and one has sixteen panes.
