Description

The Ruskin Monument, dating from around 1900, is a vertical slab made of local slate. It features inscriptions on two faces and a relief bust in a roundel on the side that faces the lake. The monument is adorned with Art Nouveau lettering and includes quotations from Ruskin's works. John Ruskin passed away in 1900.
