Description

This is a house, likely dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone with a slate roof. The south-west elevation is two storeys high and four bays wide, with a dripcourse above the ground floor. Most of the windows are sash windows with single glazing bars, but two ground-floor windows have vertical glazing bars and horns. The entrance is in the third bay and features a gabled canopy and a two-panel door. Chimneys are located in the gable ends. The north-west return has two dripcourses, casement windows, and two attic lights. A gabled porch leads to a rear wing, which has an outshut with a catslide roof on its south-east elevation. The interior includes ovolo-moulded joists, a plank and muntin partition, numerous two-panel doors, and a staircase with square newels, turned balusters, and a moulded handrail. The rear wing contains a spice cupboard with a door inscribed "IC/1722". The first floor has stud and plaster partitions.
