Description

The Nicholson Monument, located approximately 3.5 metres south of St Michael's Church, is a headstone dating from 1775. It is made of ashlar and is partially buried. The stone features simple moulding on the panel, while the head is adorned with a swan-necked open pediment that includes a shell and scrolly foliage. The inscription on the monument commemorates John Nicholson.
