Description

This is a roadside township boundary stone located southeast of the junction of the A66 and Dacre Road. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of red sandstone. The stone has a round top and is inscribed on the front with "TOWNSHIP OF DACRE" and on the rear with "TOWNSHIP OF NEWBIGGIN."
