Description
Aldby is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed with limestone rubble walls and flush sandstone quoins, topped by a graduated greenslate roof featuring banded ashlar end chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays, with a lean-to extension on the left side. The centre of the façade has a 20th-century door set in a painted stone surround. On the left, there are four-light chamfered stone-mullioned windows, while the right side features similar three-light windows. The right return wall includes a three-light window below a large cross-mullioned window. At the rear, there is an off-centre plank door in a stone surround, along with two- and three-light stone-mullioned windows positioned at different levels.
