Description

Dalton House and Christian Cottage is a farmhouse that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates from the mid-18th century and has some alterations from the 19th century. The building features painted incised rendered walls set on a chamfered plinth, and it has a graduated greenslate roof with limestone chimney stacks, two of which are cement rendered. The structure is two storeys tall and consists of three bays, with the right bay now part of Christian Cottage. Dalton House has an off-centre top-glazed panelled door located within a 20th-century trellis porch. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, except for the right French window, all set within painted stone surrounds. The altered right barn, which forms part of Christian Cottage, is not of particular interest.
