Description
Little Force Cottage and its outbuilding, formerly known as Green Howe Cottage, is a house likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century, with later alterations. The structure features roughcast stone rubble and exposed stone in the outbuildings, topped with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has three irregular bays. The windows are irregularly placed, with sashes that have vertical 9/42 inch bars and horns; there is also one small light in the second bay. The entrance has a dripstone and a large plain doorcase with a door. The garage doors of the outbuilding have a slated lintel. There are two cross-axial stacks. The rear of the building is similar, featuring an entrance with a gabled slate canopy. The outbuilding has a small-paned window above the entrance on a lower level, due to the slope of the ground. The property is owned by the National Trust.
