Description
The house at Newbiggin dates from the 18th or early 19th century. It is built of roughcast stone with a slate roof. The two-storey, two-bay structure has sashed windows with glazing bars. The front entrance features a six-panel door with two glazed panels, two fielded panels, and two flush panels, set within a timber trellis porch with a cornice. Gable-end stacks are present. To the rear is a continuous outshut with a cat-slide roof, and a small gabled wing extends from the left return.
