Description

The gate to the east of the Highfield Hotel dates from the early to mid 19th century. It features stone octagonal gate piers topped with caps, which are flanked by decorative iron panels. The richly ornamented gate is now detached and serves as a screen to the right of the drive. This structure is included for its group value with the surrounding buildings.
