Description

Tottlebank Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of rendered rubble with graduated slate roofs and rendered chimneys at the centre and ends. The house has an 'L' shape. The main elevation has four bays, featuring a partly glazed door with a large fixed window to the left, and a glazed door with 20th-century casements on either side. The first floor has a fixed window to the left and three 20th-century casements to the right. A single-bay wing has fixed windows to both floors. All windows have glazing bars, with the fixed windows each containing a small opening light. Inside, features include stop-chamfered spine beams and run-out stops, 17th-century panelled doors, and a narrow 17th-century oak dog-leg staircase.
