Description
Howe Cottages, consisting of Nos. 1 and 2, are two cottages built in the early 18th century and early 19th century. They feature slate rubble walls, with the older part painted and rendered. The cottages have a graduated greenslate roof and rebuilt roughcast chimney stacks. The older cottage on the left (No. 2) is two storeys high with three bays, while the right cottage (No. 1) has two bays, both under a common roof. The left cottage has a 20th-century door and an additional plank door to the right, both set in plain openings. The right cottage also has a similar 20th-century door. Both cottages have sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor, all set in plain reveals. They are listed for their group value with Nook Cottage and Nook Farmhouse.
