Description

A farmhouse, dating to the late 17th century, with 18th and 19th century additions. The farmhouse is constructed of whitewashed slate rubble walls, topped by a graduated greenslate roof with rebuilt chimney stacks finished in roughcast. A 19th-century single-bay extension sits to the left, under the same roof, and a 2-bay rear extension from the 18th century creates an overall T-shape. A 20th-century door is set within a recessed porch, while the original 17th-century studded oak door is fastened to the side wall of the porch. The ground floor has 20th-century leaded-paned windows, and a small firewindow to the left. Above, there are fixed-pane casement windows, all set under wooden lintels in original plain reveals. The 19th-century extension has 20th-century casement windows. The rear extension has casement windows with glazing bars, and a small ground-floor firewindow to the left. Inside, a 17th-century stone chimney breast is supported by a firebeam on corbels, and there are 18th-century panelled doors.
