Description
High Bewaldeth Cottage and the adjoining former stable is a farmhouse and stable that has been converted into a private house and garage. It dates from the late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The building features painted roughcast walls beneath a graduated greenslate roof, complemented by brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a single-bay stable to the right, all under a common roof. The cottage has a plank door in a plain opening, which is sheltered by a 20th-century roughcast porch. The windows are sash style, framed in 19th-century painted stone surrounds. The stable includes 20th-century plank garage doors, a sash window, and a louvred vent opening in plain reveals. Inside the house, the ground floor boasts beamed ceilings.
