Description
Armathwaite Lodge is a house dated 1873, as inscribed on the porch. It is built of calciferous sandstone ashlar and features a string course and parapet beneath a hipped roof made of graduated greenslate, with ashlar chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a radial fanlight, all set within a gabled ashlar porch. The ground floor has round-arched sash windows with radial heads, all in plain reveals. To the left, there is a projecting polygonal bay that has similar windows and a ground-floor false window recess.
