Description
Church View and Church View Shop is a building that combines three houses, likely dating from the mid-17th century. Church View features limestone rubble walls, while Church View Shop has cement rendered walls, all beneath a shared graduated greyslate roof with cement rendered chimney stacks. Church View is two storeys high with two bays. It has a 20th-century door set in a chamfered surround with a shaped and chamfered 17th-century lintel. The ground floor has sash windows, which are in original chamfered surrounds. Church View Shop, which was formerly two houses, has four bays. It includes plank doors, with the right door under a similar lintel to that of Church View. There is a 20th-century shop window situated between the entrances. The sash windows on the upper floor are set in 18th-century painted stone surrounds, while those on the ground floor are in 19th-century surrounds. Church View Shop is noted for group value only.
