Description
The Green and No. 2 The Green are two houses dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. They feature roughcast walls beneath a graduated greenslate roof, complemented by brick chimney stacks. The buildings are two storeys tall; No. 2 has two bays, while The Green has a single bay. No. 2 includes steps leading up to a 20th-century door set in an enlarged doorway. There are three sash and casement windows in original painted stone surrounds, with removed stone mullions, and a fourth window in an enlarged surround. A blocked cellar window and a small cellar door are located to the left. The Green has steps leading up to a 20th-century door in an original painted chamfered surround, with steps down to a cellar door on the right. It features sash windows in original chamfered stone surrounds. These houses are included partly for their group value with the adjacent Smithy Cottage and Smithy House.
