Description

Duddon Hall is a large house, currently undergoing subdivision, dating from the early 19th century. In 1988, the stucco facing was removed, revealing the underlying stone roof. The west elevation is two storeys high and consists of six bays, with the central two bays projecting forward. A sill band runs along the first floor. The windows are sash windows but most have lost their original frames. The entrance, located in the fourth bay, features Doric half columns and an entablature. Two chimney stacks run parallel to the ridge. The south elevation, with three bays, retains its decorative dentilled cornice. The east elevation has six bays, each containing an entrance with a transom window above. A new entrance has been inserted into the north elevation. The interior was gutted in 1988.
