Description

The Coffin family chest tomb, dating from the 18th century, is located in the churchyard one metre east of the chancel at the Church of All Saints in Selworthy Village. This chest tomb features a flat top with a cavetto moulded cornice, recessed fluted corners, and raised and fielded panels. It has a moulded plinth set on a base of two steps, with a partially exposed brick plinth below. The north and south sides are inscribed with names of members of the Coffin family, with the date of 1716 visible on the north face. The top of the tomb is damaged.
