Description

This is a cottage located on the National Trust Estate No 68, dating from the early 19th century and enlarged in the mid-20th century. The exterior is roughcast over rubble with a thatched roof and a circular stack at the rear. The building has a plan featuring semicircular bays at the north end, an outshot on the east side, and a 20th-century addition at the south end. It is a single-storey structure with an attic, displaying three bays on the east front. The entrance is on the right, accessed through a semicircular bay with ogee-headed double doors. To the left, there is a four-light leaded casement window in the outshot, followed by three-light leaded ogee-headed casements that project into the eaves. The left addition features a 20th-century two-light window. The right return has an unlit gable end and a thatched pentice covering a leaded four-light window. The interior has not been seen.
