Description

A terrace of five houses located on Church Lane in Dulverton, built around the early to mid-19th century, with numbers 1 and 2 being slightly earlier. The houses are constructed from painted stone rubble and have pantile and asbestos tile roofs with gabled ends. They feature brick axial stacks, while numbers 1 and 2 have stone rubble rear lateral stacks.

The layout comprises a terrace of five single-fronted houses with rear outshuts. Numbers 4 and 5 incorporate features from an earlier building, evident in their rear lateral stacks. The terrace presents a long, ten-window frontage. Windows are primarily sash windows; number 2 retains earlier 19th-century 12-pane sashes, and number 5 has later 19th-century bay windows on the ground floor. The houses have 19th-century panelled front doors, each with a flat canopy, panelled soffits supported by brackets, and a rectangular overlight. The rear roofline extends down to cover a two-storey outshut at number 2, with gables, and a single-storey outshut at number 1.

The interior of number 5 features 19th-century joinery, while number 1 has a lateral fireplace on the back wall with a chamfered timber lintel.
