Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located about 2 meters south of the south porch of the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Brompton Regis. It dates from the early 17th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb has a flat top and features a deep cyma recta moulded cornice. The north face is obscured by lichen, while the sides consist of unadorned slabs. The east and west ends are inscribed, although the inscriptions are largely illegible. On the north face, part of the inscription reads "Prepare to die for their ------," which is still discernible.
