Description
Norman Cottage is a pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The left-hand cottage was refenestrated in the late 20th century. The cottages are rendered over rubble with a thatched roof. There is a stone stack at the gable end and a brick stack located between the second and third bays on the left. The layout consists of two cells and a cross passage. They are two storeys high with a 2:3 bay arrangement. The windows are 20th-century casements with segmental tops that project above the eaves. On the ground floor, there are similar windows on the right flanking the entrance, which features a panelled door and a thatched hooded porch. On the left, there are 20th-century casements flanking a plank door with an inserted light, also with a thatched hooded porch. Number 1, the left-hand cottage, is included primarily for its group value.
