Description

This pair of rickstands, located about 30 metres west of Bullaton Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century to the early or mid 19th century. They are low, circular platforms made of granite rubble, each featuring a projecting lip of granite ashlar. This design is presumably intended to prevent rats from climbing up to the rick. These structures are believed to be rare in the Dartmoor region.
