WIDECOMBE-IN-THE-MOOR Cart Shed about 10 metres south-east of Jordan Manor

GV II

Cart shed. C19 or earlier. Granite rubble with corrugated-iron roof. 1 storey with loft in roof-space. Lower part of south-east gable-end is open with 2 heavy granite lintels supported by a thick monolithic granite post in the centre. Above it a C19 loft window containing a 3-light iron casement with patterned iron glazing- bars. This window is not shown in a 1929 photo of the cartshed (Transactions of the Devonshire Assocation, 1962, plate 52). Included for group value.
