Description
Dymond Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century, with a large addition made in the 20th century at the rear. It features whitewashed rendered cob on stone rubble footings, a hipped thatched roof, and a stack at the left end. Originally, it was a single-depth, one-room cottage. Some internal details suggest that Dymond Cottage may have once been part of a larger property that included the adjoining cottage on the left. The building is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with one window. The front door is located to the left and is covered by a 20th-century thatched porch canopy. There is one two-light casement window with glazing bars on the ground floor and another similar window on the first floor, both of which are from the 20th century. A 20th-century window has also been inserted on the right side. The interior has not been inspected. Dymond Cottage adds to the character of the centre of Dunsford village, which is predominantly made up of cob, thatch, and granite.
