Description

This is a headstone located approximately 10 metres south-south-east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in Throwleigh. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and commemorates Mary Garret. The upright slab stands about 400mm high and features a shaped head. The front of the headstone has an inscribed frame and is engraved with large bold serif capitals, recording the burial of Mary Garret, although the date of her burial is not visible.
