Description

This is a medieval cross located about 5 metres south of the south transept of St Pancras Church in Widecombe-in-the-Moor. It is made of granite and features a tapered shaft with a cross-head, which is chamfered on all four sides and has convex stops at the foot. The west arm and part of the shaft appear to have been repaired with cement. The cross is set on a rough, square socket stone made from a type of volcanic stone, which has convex stops at each corner.
