Description
This barn, located approximately 45 metres north-east of Combestone Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble and features a slate roof with both gabled and hipped ends. The barn is situated at the lower end on the right, while a stable with a loft is on the left. The front has a yard to the right of the centre, which includes a wide cart entrance leading to the threshing floor, marked by a cambered granite arch and a slated canopy. To the left, there is a stable door with a granite lintel. At the rear, facing the field, there is a small doorway that also leads to the threshing floor. The barn has a 19th-century pegged roof and a timber-boarded threshing floor. It is included in the listing for its group value.
