Description
The Church of St Raphael is a chapel built in 1868 by Reverend H Fuller. It features granite rubble walls, which are partly rendered, and has a gable-ended slate roof. A projecting lateral stack made of granite rubble with off-sets is located at the front. The chapel has a simple rectangular plan with no division between the nave and chancel. Entrance is from the side opposite the road, through a porch at the left-hand end that has a 4-centred granite doorway. To the right of the porch, there are two 2-light granite mullion windows; the left window is square-headed, while the one leading to the chancel has arched lights. Additionally, there is a cart window with three arched lights, the central one being taller. The interior is very plain, featuring a granite fireplace and a simple A-frame roof.
