Description

The garden wall located to the south west of the Old Post Cottage is a Grade II listed structure, likely dating from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed of whitewashed rendered cob on stone rubble footings, topped with corrugated asbestos, iron, and thatched capping. This tall cob wall stands on the east side of Briton Street Lane, directly opposite a similar wall on the west side. It is characteristic of the village walls and serves as an important feature in Briton Street Lane, facing several listed buildings made of cob and thatch.
